HOLLYWOOD, CA - DECEMBER 02: Actor Benedict Cumberbatch attends the premiere of ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug’ at TCL Chinese Theatre on December 2, 2013 in Hollywood, California.
Sorry, I swear this is the last Ben pic I’ll upload.
But his cheekbones where about 1000 times better in real life. He also had this sort of glow about him. He literally gleamed his was that magnificent.
Okay I swear I’m done now.
Here’s just a bit of cheekboney goodness until I can get all of my photos sorted later. The Benedict panel at the end of the day was packed, and by that I mean 2000 people over 2 stages (stage 2 was behind Ben and just had the video broadcast). He ran onto the stage and seemed really chipper despite having spent all day doing thousands of singings and photos, it was incredible.
For the most part, I will direct you to the twitter round up because there were some excellent quotes in there. I’ll just add that he did the cutest/funniest impression of Una Stubbs (complete with Una style dancing) when asked about a prank pulled on the Sherlock set. He was talking about dialect coaches and he said “Julian keeps wanting to come out, I have to push him aside!” and then forgot the name of his dialect coach for 12YAS and asked his publicist, Karon, to fetch his phone and look it up. He talked about 40 Something, The Hobbit, August Osage County, Tinker Tailor Soldier spy and the backlash from Trekkies to his Khan.
He also talked about “trending” back when the first series of Sherlock started and he joked about thinking it was fashion and said how he had no fashion sense back then but he hopes it’s improved since then.
At the end of the panel he received a standing ovation and he quickly ducked next door to say hello to the stage that couldn’t see him, the cutie.
All in all the perfect end to the most wonderful, Cumber-filled weekend I’ve ever had!
